in my old house we had a large tree in one corner of the garden, and every evening hundreds of sparrows would flock to roost there. Even in nesting season they came; even during storms.

I listened to them sing their hymns to sunset and share amongst each other the news of the day: who did what, where to find good food, how the wind blew. It made me think of the weblogging community and just how thankful I am to be able to roost in this place where so many wonderful people share and allow me to share with them.
